Catch-up and Current Lifestyle Favourites

I regularly upload on Friday’s, however, sometimes they are scheduled ahead of time, whether this be a week or a month in advance. But no matter how how far ahead of time, my mindset and life are always different to how those posts perceive it to be.

For example, a few weeks ago I uploaded a piece about my tattoos and piercings however the day it went up I was in bed with a migraine after throwing up all morning. I know that’s gross but the point I’m getting to is I wanted to write a post where I give you an insight into my life right now. That’s right, I’m going to publish this post as soon as I’ve written it.

It seems kind of scary but Sunday mornings are one of the only moments in the week when I don’t do much so I reflect on the past week. Some stuff I’m going to keep to myself but there’s a lot I can share with you including some lifestyle favourites.

-catch-up-

This week began at university and, with deadlines fast approaching, I’m feeling very overwhelmed and a a bit mentally exhausted which turned into physical exhaustion by the end of the week.

My presentation for my lifestyle module was on Monday which, straight after, I was not happy with at all. However, looking back now I am happy with how I did and know I tried my best.

I’m struggling to make time for myself recently and I’m not sticking to my usual routine which I think is what my mental exhaustion stems from. I’ve also been missing a lot of tasks that I had planned to do which really puts me down as I feel like I’m failing. However with uni technically finished for christmas now I have a little less on my mind for a bit and can really knuckle down and focus next week when I don’t have anything planned apart from my shifts at the hotel.

I haven’t been away from home for that long, I was last in London about a month ago but because so much has changed it feels like a lot longer. I also don’t know if it’s because I’m stressed as well but I really miss my family and can’t wait until christmas when I can see everyone and be stress free for a week or two.

-lifestyle favourites-

I think its just the time of the year but I am loving evenings spent in bed watching Netflix or Amazon Prime, or reading a good book. One book I’ve just started is Sunburn by Laura Lippman. I’m only a couple of chapters in but I fell out of love with reading a while back and am hoping Sunburn will get me back into the swing of it.

If I’m not reading I have been watching The Bold Type on Amazon Prime. This inspiring show has hooked me from the start. The show is centred around three bold women (who are also eachother’s best friends) as they navigate both their personal lives and their professional ones at New York based Scarlet Magazine. This show is inspiring and empowering to all women and has shot it’s way to the top of my favourites list.

I hope you guys have enjoyed today’s post. It’s a little bit different but I wanted to try something new.
