Okay, so this beauty haul has nothing to do with Autumn but considering everyone else is posting about everything Autumnal I thought I’d join in. Also, my skin tends to change around this time of year and I love mixing things up and trying new products.
I wasn’t planning on buying a load of new Skincare bits but I got paid and I have actually done well budgeting so far so I thought I’d treat myself. Well, that and the fact that feel unique were giving away a beauty bag when you spent over £150 and it included a lot of things I wanted to try but didn’t want to splurge all that money on so thought it would be a good way to try new things. I also figured I could get a blog post out of it so basically win, win; except for my bank account!
Enough rambling let’s get on with everything I bought:
Sarah Chapman Skinesis Ultimate Cleanse £44
I have had this cleanser on my wishlist since I first bought the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel cleanser (which if you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know how long that is!) and I finally decided to splurge and buy it. I’ve heard a lot of good reviews on this product and even though I haven’t tried it out yet I am very keen to give it a go and see if it lives up to the hype. I have also used the hydrating booster and the exfoliating booster before and loved them however couldn’t justify repurchasing them after the ordinary did similar products for a lot cheaper so do trust Sarah Chapman as a brand.
Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial £49
Another Sarah Chapman Product that I thought I’d buy as I was on the hunt for a new ‘one product does all’ on nights when I’m feeling lazy. Again, I’ve had this product in my basket for a long time so decided to buy it and I’m so glad I did! This stuff left my skin so soft after just one use! I was not expecting that but was blown away and am absolutely in love! But I do need to be careful to go easy on it as it is fairly expensive (in my eyes) and only 15ml so will probably limit myself to only using this 2 times a week but would really recommend it even though I’ve only used it once.
Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask £36
This one was more impulse than anything else but my mum has used Ren products for as long as I can remember so I trust this brand a lot, even though I’ve never personally tried any of their products before. I am definitely one for chemical exfoliants as opposed to physical exfoliators so this seemed right up my street. As I write this it is currently on my face doing its thing so I can’t report back yet but it warns it may be too much for sensitive skin and might tingle when you apply it – it hasn’t tingled and seems alright on my skin so far and I can’t wait to update you on the results.
ELEMIS Papaya Enzyme Peel £34.49
So this product was one of the few that I purchased that I didn’t know anything about. But I’ve used products by Elemis and much like REN I trust this brand enough to spend the money on trying their products. This peel is non-abrasive with mild papaya and pineapple enzymes that refine and smooth the skin. I am yet to try it out but I’m very excited to see how it works
Kristin Ess Leave-in Conditioner £14.50
If you know, you know. Kristin Ess is the mastermind behind Lucy Hale’s hair! And other celebs such as Lauren Conrad and Jenna Dewan and her line of products are finally able to be bought in the UK through Feel Unique. So of course I had to purchase a couple to try out the much raved products. I was very surprised to see the price of them wasn’t too bad either. I got the leave-in conditioner which I have used once and obviously I can’t see a difference right away but I’m excited to try this out more and hopefully will see a difference over time.
Kristin Ess Moisture Mask £20
Another Kristin Ess product. If you follow me on instagram you’ll know that I bleached my hair just over a month ago and it killed it! Literally I lost about half the thickness and it was very limp and lifeless. Since then I have been giving it some extra TLC and have been on the hunt for a hair mask that you can leave on your hair for more than 10 minutes as I like to put on masks and do a bit of work while I wait. I saw Kate from Kate La Vie talk about this stuff and how great it is and, considering she has bleached her hair as well, thought it might help me out. Again I’ve only used this once so far but I did notice a difference after using it. My hair did feel a lot softer and less straw like which is what I need right now and I’m just excited in general to get more use of out this stuff!
Kerastase Elixir Ultime £31.05
Again, bleached hair you have made me spend money on a lot of hair products! Although this stuff I got a couple of years back and loved and haven’t found a hair oil as effective for me since so I’m excited to have this stuff back in my life. Also, a little goes a long way with this oil so be careful not to go too overboard and its more effective when used on wet hair.
Clarins Skincare Boosters, Detox £15
I have had my eye on this for a while and it was a bitch to find online but I found it on the John Lewis website eventually and I’m glad I bought it. I use this product combined with my daily moisturiser every other day and even though I don’t notice a significant change it hasn’t had a bad effect on my skin so I’m hoping I will notice a change soon.
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser To Go £11.50
Another cleanser! Okay so this one I wanted to try out as I’ve heard a lot about it recently but didn’t think I could justify buying the full product so I went with the small size. Plus, I need a cleanser that I can travel with so thought I would try this out. I haven’t tried it yet but it smells really nice and I don’t think I will use it until I next go away or go home for the weekend so when I do I will update you.
OUAI Rose Hair & Body Oil £26
OUAI is a highly reputable haircare brand which I have tried products from before and have really liked. I will be honest, I purchased this before buying the Kerastase oil and I probably wouldn’t have bought it otherwise but I have tried it out a couple of times and I do like it but I do prefer the Kerastase oil. It isn’t a bad hair oil though.
L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask and Glow Mask £7.99 each
I’ve heard quite a bit about this collection of masks and as you can see from everything else I’ve bought I am on the hunt for trying different masks. I used to be all about purifying and detoxifying my skin but now with the winter months ahead I’m all about the glow and radiance. However my skin does still get clogged so thats why I bought both the glow mask and the detox mask. So far I have used the Glow mask and the next morning my skin did seem less dull but I didn’t have any dramatic results however I’m hoping that with time I will see a change.
Superdrug Argan Hair Therapy Elasticising Hair Treatment £3.99
A cheap version of the Phillip Kingsley Elasticiser. I couldn’t justify spending more money on my hair after all the masks and oils mentioned above but wanted to try out another treatment for my locks so picked this up in town the other day. Again, I haven’t used it yet but I’m very interested in it.
Superdrug Glycolic Overnight Peel £5.99
Much like the Sarah Chapman overnight facial but with a price tag that’s a lot lower! I’ll be honest, I’ve used this a couple of times and although I do see a difference in my skin, its not as noticeable as the night I used the Sarah Chapman overnight facial. But for a product that’s almost a tenth of the price tag it isn’t too bad.
I think that’s enough of me chatting about beauty stuff now, have you guys bought anything recently you’d recommend?
I’m also thinking of doing some reviews on my instagram as I use these products more and begin to see results, what are your thoughts on that?
