A couple of weeks ago I posted my Spring morning skincare routine and today I thought I’d share with you my evening routine. It is very similar to my morning routine with the exception of a slight change in the products I use. I like to stick to a routine so I don’t mess with my skin too much. I have been using these products for around half a year now. Occasionally I have trialed a new product or two but I never fail to go back to these mentioned today.
Step 1: Cleanse
My trusty Oskia Renaissance cleanser has been my go-to for a long time now. Not only does it smell really good but it does the job! It’s a gel cleanser that melts in your hands and applies really nicely onto the skin. I don’t know what it is but I always feel so relaxed when I use this product and it contains natural ingredients that removes dead skin cells and deeply cleanses pores to get every inch of dirt out after a long day. My skin never feels tight after using this cleansing gel and I can’t see myself swapping this for anything else out there for a good while.
On days where I go for heavier make up I will also use my Jojoba oil before the oskia gel to melt away the majority of the makeup, then go to oskia for my general cleanse.
Step 2: Toner
Is this one even a surprise anymore? The Pixi Glow Tonic obviously, like I don’t talk about it enough. This chemical exfoliator is my go-to after cleansing, I like to pour a small amount into my hands and massage it over my face and neck. When I first started using this I noticed such a massive difference to my face but now, because I’ve tried so many different things that make massive differences to current problems I have, I don’t really notice this as much. However, my face always feels smooth and I think that is down to this so I’m not going to stop using it.
Alternatively I’ll use the Alpha-H Liquid Gold. This hyped product tackles hyper-pigmentation, acne, enlarged pores, fine lines and more. It contains liquorice which helps with acne and hyper-pigmentation as well as glycolic acid which refines texture by breaking the bonds that hold together dead skin cells. Meaning its an easy overnight facial that leaves your skin baby smooth in the morning. They also have a rose gold edition for more sensitive skin.
Step 3: Serums
Again, this one isn’t a shock to you guys if you’ve followed me for a while. They are two products from the same brand that I go on and on and on about. Have you guessed what they are yet? The Ordinary’s Niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid. I started using the Hyaluronic acid almost a year ago and I am close to finishing my third bottle. I cover my face in the stuff and don’t get any more dry patches so I think this has done so much good! I then go in with the Niacinamide which I started using back in December and again I am on my third bottle of it. This I focus use on the centre of my face or T-zone as that’s where I get the most congestion. I love these two products as they’re very affordable and they get the job done.
Step 4: Oil
Final step in my evening routine – oil. I am obsessed with the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Oil which is aimed at dehydrated skin. What’s great about this product as well is it doesn’t make your face look drastically oily. It works wonders for my dehydrated cheeks but also doesn’t clog my pores like a lot of other oils have in the past.
That’s it for today, what products are in your skincare routine?
