img_4298As the new year is just around the corner (can you believe it because I can’t) I wanted to have a look back at everything I’ve done this year because it has flown by and I can’t believe I did so much.

The start of the year was a fairly normal one, filled with rehearsals and work. In January I became the manager of the pub I work at and so my hours increased and, with performing in London just around the corner, rehearsals were more regular too. Performing Secrets of Us again after getting 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival was pretty amazing and something that has always been hard to wrap my head around. Since finishing my first semester at uni, I’ve been helping with rehearsals for JAM Productions’ new show which has been really nice seeing old friends again.

Travel wise, in February I went to Ireland – my dad is half Irish and so I went to see where he spent a lot of his life. I went to Italy skiing in April and just wish I had been able to spend more time there. In May I finally got to meet my (not so) baby cousins when I went out to Dubai and stayed with my uncle and auntie, I’m going back in February and can’t wait to see how much they’ve grown! After that, in June I was lucky enough to spend some time in America. First I went to Miami and then flew across to California and spent a few days in LA before flying back to Miami to spend time with some family who live out there. Then, more recently, I went to Amsterdam with my best friend and, let’s just say, we’re going back again next year

Finally, and probably most obviously, I started university in Cornwall to study Creative Writing. I’ve met so many great people and have had the best time – I really didn’t want to come back for christmas

I think that’s about it for my year, a busy one that I can’t seem to understand how it’s gone and that I’m half way through my first year at uni.

What’s been the best part of your year?
