The avoidance of doing a task which needs to be accomplished. It is the practice of doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, or carrying out less urgent tasks instead of more urgent ones, thus putting off impending tasks to a later time.

Everyone has procrastinated once in their life and everyone does it in different ways. They might watch videos of kittens on youtube, binge on netflix series or just lie in bed all day scrolling through instagram (I give these examples as they are what I do) but no matter what you do, it’s still putting off what you need to do.

I like to think that I’m great at procrastinating, but that isn’t necessarily a good thing most of the time. Back in school I was known to not really do work until the night before – I was definitely one for all nighters – and now a lot of the time I am more likely to watch my every growing watch later playlist on youtube than I am to read a book that’s been on my, again, ever growing to read list.

How do I get over  my procrastinating? Well, I haven’t figured that out yet but what do you do? Do you set reminders on your phone, make lists that you can physically cross out when its completed? I’d love to know

  1. I’m a dreadful procrastinator. It sometimes comes to a point where I have what I need to do right in front of me and I just sit there staring at it until I no longer understand it. When you come up with a cure, please let me know;)

    1. I know what you mean! Haha I definitely will or if you find one tell me 😂
