To Read in 2016

2015 was probably the worst year for reading for me! I don’t know what happened but I never found the time to read – even though I know I should have slaps self on back of hand

Nevertheless 2016 is a new year and I am setting myself the easily reachable target of two books a month. Even I could do that, right?

  1. Burial Rites – Hannah Kent
  2. The Book Thief (re-read) – Markus Zusak
  3. The Versions of Us – Patrick Ness
  4. The Collector – John Fowles
  5. One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest – Ken Kesey
  6. A Clockwork Orange – Anthony Burges
  7. Atonement – Ian McEwan
  8. The Sisters – Claire Douglas
  9. Life After Life – Kate Atkinson
  10. Animal Farm – George Orwell
  11. How To Build A Girl – Caitlin Moran
  12. Delirium – Lauren Oliver Read 3.1.16
  13. Not That Kind Of Girl – Lena Dunham
  14. #GIRLBOSS – Sophie Amoruso
  15. The Minimalist – Jessie Burton
  16. Breakfast at Tiffany’s
  17. The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August
  18. Everything We Ever Wanted
  19. All The Things We Didn’t Say
  20. A Monster Calls – Patrick Ness Read 2.1.16
  21. The Girl On The Train
  22. Drown
  23. In Other Rooms, Other Wonders
  24. Tell No Lies
  25. The Rest of us Just Live Here – Patrick Ness
  26. Pulse

I am now on a book buying ban until I have read at least 12 of these books. As the year progresses I’ll update you on how I’m doing but I know that’ll I’m going to make a conscious effort to read more from now on.

What do you want to read this year?

Jess xx

I’m trying to read one a week, which is a massive challenge. I’m enjoying it though as it’s forcing me to spend less time watching telly! X

    1. Oh wow! I wish I was that dedicated, I think it really depends on the book as to how much I read. I also love Netflix too much! But good on you! X
